“Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.” – Washington Irving
Whether you are hanging stockings over fireplaces, curling up with a cup of hot cocoa to watch your favorite holiday programs, or welcoming loved ones from far and wide to celebrate the season, Angel MedFlight invites you to take a moment to appreciate what matters most during these last few weeks of the year: the gift of compassion.
Angel MedFlight Air Ambulance strives to prove our compassion and commitment to our patients by providing top-quality safety and care. In the spirit of this season of giving, we came up with our Holiday Homecoming, in which we will provide a flight for Michael, a bone marrow donor, to meet the woman whose life he saved through his generosity and compassion. Although we were pleased to have the opportunity to provide this grand gesture, anyone can celebrate the spirit of compassion by giving smiles and hope through even the smallest of gestures. Perhaps these gifts of kindness can be bestowed upon neighbors, coworkers or family members in thanks for everything they do and the love they give throughout the year. However, we must also remember to take the time to include those in need in our holiday joy. While many of us are lucky to have many people and much goodness in our lives, there is a great number who do not have the same blessings to count. Let us all take this in to consideration as we gather round our loved ones during this season of warmth.
All of us at Angel MedFlight would like to thank our patients, partners, family and friends for a wonderful 2013. We hope that you and yours will have a joyous holiday and healthy, prosperous New Year!
